It’s August and we are in the heat of things.
Hydration! Hydration! Hydration is the main goal for this month. No matter what activity you are participating in, whether indoors or outdoors, make sure you are staying hydrated. Secondly, make sure your healthy meals include wholesome veggies and fruits that are high in water content. Now is the perfect time to add cucumbers, tomatoes and water chestnuts to your salads. Fruits that are high in water content like watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew are great snack choices that will refresh and energize you on a hot Summer day. Lastly, consuming the recommended 8-10 glasses of water a day is sure to quench your thirst. Remember staying hydrated is very important to your well being.
